I think I forgot to lock my car, and I'm late for work, uhh, at least its really nice out. Hopefully the day gets better...ok its not better the fucking keys are in the car!!

Acer Aspire One!

For anyone that's actually used Linux, you just need the console, it just doesn't feel like Linux without the console, but where was it hiding? Getting to the console: 1) Click on Files 2) Click on My Documents 3) Open the File Manager 4) Go to File 5) Click on Terminal Next, enable the right click menu so we can get to the terminal easier: 1) Open the xfce settings $ xfce-setting-show 2) Click on Desktop 3) Click on Behavior 4) Put a check in the box beside "Show desktop menu on right click" 5) Click on Close More good stuff here: http://jorge.ulver.no/2008/08/06/acer-aspire-one-tips-and-tricks/ I like the regular desktop, there's a good tutorial here, except he doesn't back up any of his files before he goes on his modification spree.

IPv4 and IPv6 Reception with rsyslog

Back in the day, when you wanted to change the default protocols rsyslog would listen on, you would modify the /etc/default/rsyslog file, and set the RSYSLOGD_OPTIONS variable accordingly. In rsyslog 8.x, this has changed, now, we control these parameters through the main rsyslog configuration file, and in within the global parameters.
